5 plants worth knowing
Cyprus
Cyprus is the third-largest island in the Mediterranean, with hot, dry summers and mild winters. Its landscape is shaped by the pine forests of the Troodos Mountains and the Kyrenia range, by maquis and phrygana on the hills, and by orchards and groves on the Mesaoria plain. The island’s isolation has given rise to more than 100 endemic species, among them its national tree and national flower.
